SEARCHING FOR HONEST SINCERE POLITICAL WORKERS TO WORK TOGETHER IRRESPECTIVE OF BARRIERS..COME 2GETHER(Beatles) When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always. Exploitation and domination of one nation over another can have no place in a world striving to put an end to all war. Mahatma Ghandi.

I grew up in an environment where I had felt victimized..I was led to believe that I should be thankful for my peaceful existence..i was expected to accept any inequalities lying down..and I grew up detesting any form of injustice and hardship imposed on the weak and poor unnecessarily..as I had been in the position of an underdog, I had also experienced how it was like to be victimized, sidelined and disregarded..I started questioning the social-political injustices which grew into desire to make amends and changes..I started learning and discovered the ropes of political realities..the numbers game..the rule of the jungle. Upon the realisation of the historical background and political realities .. I set upon myself to serve and walk the path of moderation..to serve to bridge the gap and divide between Malaysians which is getting wider where the polarisation was getting worse and obvious in the 80's and 90's as a result of irresponsible politicians and politicking..I thought I could do it but it was definitely tough in the 80's and 90's where any attempts to discuss or explain ourselves were seen to be acts of antagonism and deemed sensitive..but we are now (in the year 2008) seeing a common line of dissatisatisfaction that has crossed racial barriers..but are we truly united?? ..or are we merely united in our dissatisfaction and dissent..and not moving in unison..if that is so..we have a lot to think and worry about..for we may be heading towards more troubled waters and chaos..and the political euphoria of changes may not be temporary..is there more trouble heading our way?? Beware!!..for we may not be ready politically for a drastic change in our political landscape..Political changes if not properly managed can be counter productive..The younger voters may be over simplyfying the complex nature or equation of our power sharing..we need more level headedness to manage the current changes in our political landscape..Let's discuss on what we should do or can be done for the nation and it's people..I detest exploitation of the weak and the poor..Finally the vicious circle or political revenge will always exist..SO LET US WORK ..TOWARDS ACHIEVING A GREATER SOCIAL JUSTICE! "As for me, I know the incumbent well. Dato Ti Lian Ker who is still young, is a formidable MCA personality. .. I am interested in telling you of his performance in the Dewan Undangan Negeri of Pahang.
YB Ti Lian Ker is of course an always in form and polished speaker in the Dewan. His speeches were always diligently researched worthy of the highest praise. It shows he is a man concerned with and paying attention to details. His preoccupation has always been with how to bring benefits to Kuantan. That indicates his interest. His encounters with his favourite topic- tourism as an economic resource’ were always illuminating. His reasoning in his speeches indicate his clear line of thinking. "

Malaysiakini: "In Pahang, the level of infighting within Umno (over whether the seat of Kuantan should have been allocated to Umno), and within the component parties (in this case the MCA over the dropping of a popular hard-working Teruntum state assemblyman Ti Lian Ker), now makes the seat more vulnerable than ever before." http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/79179

Angry CM rips Hindraf's 'web of deceit'
Jul 1, 09 2:33pm
Opposition leaders had once travelled the length and breadth of the nation lending support to the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) and its incarcerated leaders.
But this was before the March 8 general election, when opposition parties rode on the Hindraf momentum to bag votes from the Indian Malaysian community.
Hello all villagers from Kampong Buah Pala
According to a newspaper report , if you have no place to stay , please go to 25 , Pinhorn Rd on 3rd July .
Our Cheap Minister of Penang , in just one year as Cheap Minister , he has just bought this house in Pinhorn Rd ( 10000sq ft ) worth more than $2 million ringgit .
Wah very fast becoming very rich . Also the house sold at a "cheap sale" rate , worth more than that .
But can easily accommodate all the villagers from High Chaparral .
See you all there !
This is what the Cheap Minister of Penang says ::
Penang Chief Minister Guan Eng makes several points:
* The crisis was created under the previous BN administration;
* The Buah Pala villagers should distinguish between their friends and those responsible for their predicament;
This is what the villagers say :
Villagers: “We want our land which is our life”
The Kampung Buah Pala residents have released a statement today, expressing dissatisfaction with Pakatan politicians who had promised to defend their right to the land during the general election campaign last year.
The villagers, who had earlier filed a complaint with the MACC over the land deal, are also claiming that not all families and households were offered compensation.
Dissatisfaction with Pakatan politicians who had promised to defend their right to the land during the general election campaign last year.
Wa Tak tau Tanya Anwar Ibrahim ..Hahaha if you ask LGE ..
Anwar Ibrahim who had promised the Tamil villagers he would get the land for them?
In the videoclip, an elderly man claimed that Anwar had sworn on his head (by placing his hands on his head) that he will never abandoned the villagers and preserve the village for them.

See it for yourself , all the empty promises by Anwar and Pakatan
Villagers: “We want our land which is our life”
Some excerpts from the statement:
If the present State Government cannot stop the demolition then it is adopting the abuse of power by the previous government and is a party to it.
…We ask the state government to act now and at least stop and postpone the demolition. It can direct the developer and the police to do so. It should not abdicate its responsibility and shirk its responsibility.
Act now or forever be condemned. Please don’t give us platitudes. Don’t blame the previous BN government; you have the power now. Are you useless?
You can act to set aside the (highly questionable) transfers without paying a cent. Why are you not doing so? Are the developers tying your hands?
Are you now collaborating with and an accomplice of the previous government’s abuse…?
Are you friend or enemy? Are you part of the solution or part of the problem?
The offer by the developer is an eyewash. It is only for the few registered houses. What about the other unnumbered houses? What about the other extended families? Each house is occupied by several families. What about them? What about the tenants? They have been offered nothing.
We want out land which is our life. Please don’t mislead the public and side with the developers and Umno.
Do not use sweet promises to fish our votes and gain our support.
This village has historical and heritage value which cannot be bought by mighty capital and high force
There are over 23 registered houses, over 11 unregistered houses and 41 families and other residents. Compensation was never offered per family at all till now.
If the State Governement does not act now, it will only assist the developer to wipe out the only historical and heritage Tamil village in Malaysia.
Once our houses are demolished and we are thrown out and scattered, wherever we may be we will campaign against those who made false and empty promises…
I am posting a write up on this issue by Killer who's quite well verse with what's happening on this issue , so here goes ...
The residents and the previous govt had been negotiating on this issue for years. See the below extract from the NST as related by the ex-DCM Hilmi Yahya. I am aware of this issue and been following on this for last several years.
=============================================
On the Kampung Lorong Buah Pala issue, Dr Hilmi said the previous administration had discussed with the land owner and developer to help the 31 affected families then.
Meanwhile, the NST learnt that 11 of the 31 families had since taken up the offer made by the previous administration. Those who opted for cash were given between RM180,000 and RM200,000 for each family and have since moved out. Those who opted for houses, were given a RM10,000 start-up and a three-year rental prior to the completion of their new houses.
=============================================
As such, claims that the previous BN govt created the issue is totally WRONG. What had actually happened was that Pakatan and NGOs linked to them wanted to undermine the BN govt and had actually intigated the residents not to move out and make impossible demands.
And during the last GE, Anwar and other Pakatan leaders themselves promised to solve the issue if they get to rule.
However, little did they realise that they will have to make good of this promise.
So, in summary this is an issue created by Pakatan for themselves. They had originally created this timebomb and it is indeed poetic justice that this bomb has now turned nuclear and landed right on their lap.
I can only laugh at Pakatan's stupidy on this matter.
As you can see, the offer for compensation is pretty good and reasonable.
In almost 100% of issue with squatter, the problem is being created by Pakatan and their NGO buddies out to create issues for BN by turning it to a political crisis.
When Pakatan instigated the villagers, they told them that they can make millions like the infamous Felda LBJ if they hold out. As such the residents foolishly rejected the offers.
Little they realised that the developer will take them to court. RSN Rayer is hated since he is the one who gave the wrong legal advice on the strength of their legal case.
So the residents believed these political clowns and now ended up with nothing.
This is the real reason for the residents' anger and fury.
In Penang, the credibility of Indian Pakatan leaders has sunk to zero over this and several other issues. These leaders now hiding from Indians and in fact the LGE is also avoiding them.
The problem is, Gerakan Penang was blamed for all these. Barisan Nasional finds it hard to capitalise on this protest by Hindraf.
I urge Gerakan Penang to step forward to make use of this opportunity to undo their mistakes.
Otherwise, Penang must return to MCA's leadership just like the 1960s.
As for the current protests, I hope the people ask this question. Where are the constitutional lawyers/experts and their team of lawyers ADUNs & MPs?
I used to hear retired judges, legal experts and supporters talking about the complex legality of Perak MB and the Sultan's decision.
But when it comes to a piece of land in Penang, no lawyer stepped up to say a thing ! Not even a Camry car crash by Tian Chua.
Shall we pressure Pakatan lawyers to step in ? The last time I checked the Penang Constitution, I think the Penang CM can execute his rights to takeover that piece of land as a State land.
Something must be done to help
those people displaced by the
project.Just offer them a
alternative plot to start a
new HIGH CHAPARRAL out of compassion
and source the funding by some means.
You still have not answered - who is the developer concerned?
Hahaha... it is as if DAP just know PAS yesterday.. What a sandiwara
Kedah DAP quits PAS-led gov't
Jul 1, 09 6:17pm
Even before the dust could settle on the unity talks fiasco which nearly tore apart Pakatan Rakyat, the opposition coalition is now faced with another crisis.
This time around the trouble is in Kedah where the state DAP has decided to quit the coalition formed slightly more than a year ago.
Kedah DAP's decision was related to the demolishment of the sole pig abattoir in the Malay-majority state which is headed by a menteri besar from PAS.
According to reports, the Alor Star Municipal Council has claimed that the premise was operating without a licence.
Kedah DAP's decision was announced by its chief Thomas Su at a press conference in Alor Star this evening.
"I have already relayed the decision to DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng. Fourteen out of 16 of our (state) committee members have agreed to quit," he told Malaysiakini.
He added that two other committee members could not attend the meeting.
Su said apart from the sole DAP representative in the state government, three local councillors and 43 village heads would also quit the government.
Guan Eng commented that the previous sold off cheap to the company Nusmetro but is it ?
“It was (former chief minister) Koh (Tsu Koon) and BN that sold out Kampung Buah Pala at the cheap price of only RM10 per square feet in 2007 and without consulting the residents.”
Land sold for RM10 per square feet ? Cheap price ?
How do you come to equate that is cheap when these conditions have to be met .
1 ) The land is deem agriculture and hill land . please see the land zoning in the Penang Municipal Master Plan on developments .
As such , the developer will have to pay a substantial sum for rezoning from agriculture to development land .
2 ) The developer will have to excise the hill land constraint , meaning you cannot develop if its zone hill land . Example in Balik Pulau , its worse , even flat land , beside the main road is still deem water catchment areas …
3 ) Compensation for squatters to have vacant possession .
Add another RM 10 per square feet for vacant possession and add another for conversion fees from agriculture/hill land to development land .
RM30 per square ft , still cheap ? for a piece of land which is a third or fourth piece from the main rd !!
What about construction cost which hill land and in particular that area is full of granite outcropping which need to be blasted ?
What about height constraint ? anything above 250ft cannot be develop ? When buying a piece of land of 2.5 hectares of which only maybe 1.5 hectares is usable for construction and for building ? the rest will have to be turn into open space and parks /playground ?
More juicy revelations from hindraf...
=============================================
Guan Eng claims that the land which is believed to be transfered under dubious manner by the previous BN Government is the fault of the previous Government. But he must remember that the actual transfer of the said land had occured during his tenure as the Chief Minister.
If the previous Government had made a fraudulent deal then he is part of the fraudulent transaction for having sanctioned the transfer after he became the Chief Minister.
You guys could call me a capitalist pig all you want but I think the idea of ah lim exercising his right as penang CM doesn't bode well with foreign investors nor sending the right image when penang is begging for foreign investments.
The issue with kedah abattoir and high chapparal are pretty simple. Both are squatters on illegal land. That abattoir has to go and the squatters has to go. That's the price of development.
For all I care, silly Kedah DAP probably wants to garner some attention after months of spotlights on the ngeh ngoh cousins. I don't understand what's the issue of no suitable lands around, the way I see, it's better than fetching those pigs from klang valley.
With regards to high chapparal, what's with ah lim not walking his talk. They are being paid to move man, the amount of money they are bound to receive is worth more than a minute low cost home they could buy with that sum of money. BN should be smart enough to not indulge in this matter at all as it will set a very dangerous precedent in Malaysia, wonder if any of you thought of what is going to happen when all the slums and illegal indonesian villagers start asking for compensation when majlis comes in to bulldoze the shit out of them
